Phase 1: Research, use journeys, concept

Role: not yet with RI.SE

Research institutes of Sweden (RI.SE) formed a start-up and carried out a Discovery research and academic review of medical, qualitative and financial cases for a digital service that could help improve health.

After the Discovery, RI.SE approached me to design a preventive healthcare business model, service, and investment pitch media.

Phase 2: Alpha concept design

Q3 2017

Role: Service design lead, business designer and art director

- Co-designed preventive healthcare business model with social impact bonds and incentives
- Lead a team of business designers (3 people with backgrounds in design, business, and law)
- Co-created communication, service, UX and strategy assets
- Facilitated handover to the internal team of existing and new members

Outcomes:
- The communication attracted local and global investors in addition to existing ones and several academic partners.
- The organisation uses the delivered assets and creates new content based on them.
- The service is live.

The service and business laid foundations, but we need something to capture investors' imagination. A video co-created with the whole team, and produced and directed by me, helped secure the €50K grant from EIT as angel investment in pre-seed 2nd round funding (as per investors' feedback, they appreciated the clarity and the human touch that the video brought to life).

• With a profit margin of 10% in 2022
• Most recently received €1.8 in funding from Add Health Media, J12 Ventures, Luminar Ventures, and Leksell Social Ventures as angel investment in early VC (5th round) funding.
